'Traumatised' Mariah Carey putting 'on a brave face' since split from ex-fiance James Packer
Carey was recently seen in a 'good mood' along with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka at a celebrity hot spot in LA.
Mariah Carey is reportedly putting "on a brave face" ever since her former fiancé James Packer dumped her. The We Belong Together singer and the Australian business tycoon got engaged in January.
According to Entertainment Tonight, although the 46-year-old singer has been spotted on a few outings since her break-up, the songstress has been left "traumatised".
"Mariah [Carey] is traumatized by all of this but is putting on a brave face," a source told the celebrity news website. "She never meant to fall for James."
The singer was apparently spotted on 27 and 29 October along with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka and friends.
"The backup dancer and Mariah are just close friends," a source had previously said. "He is not a reason for any issues between Mariah and James. It's no secret that Mariah loves having a big entourage around."
An eyewitness said Carey "was in a very good mood" when she arrived with Tanaka in her Escalade at the celebrity hot spot Catch LA on 29 October. "She seemed like she wanted to be seen with Bryan Tanaka."
Previously, E! News reported that Packer and Carey's relationship "imploded" during their vacation in Greece in September. Packer went on "some sort of outburst" when in Greece, "which everyone heard", the source had said.
"The split has been devastating for Mariah [Carey]. She loved James [Packer] and was planning to marry him...She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James' request, so he could be closer to his children. Everything she has done over the past year is to prove how fully committed she is to their life together. She really wanted this to work. And then, completely out of the blue, it imploded," the source added.
