TV Choice Awards 2016 nominations: Tom Hiddleston goes up against Cillian Murphy and Peter Capaldi
Taylor Swift's beau may win accolade for Best Actor as The Night Manager battles Peaky Blinders and Dr Who.
He may or may not be dating Taylor Swift still after their high-profile romance escalated rather quickly in front of the whole world, but Tom Hiddleston could be cuddling up to a TV choice award instead of a pop singer this evening (5 September) if the 2016 TV Choice Awards goes his way.
The 35-year-old actor – who was tipped to be the new James Bond – finds himself in the exciting Best Actor category alongside some stiff competition including Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) and Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders).
The awards ceremony will take place at the Dorchester Hotel in London tonight. Downton Abbey will no doubt hope for another accolade to add to their extensive collection as the ITV period drama is up for Best Drama Series. It has previously won Emmys, Baftas and Golden Globes, but has yet to scoop up a TV Choice Award. Tonight could be the night!
