Twitter trolls target Ferne McCann after Arthur Collins arrested over acid attack
TOWIE star faces backlash after announcing that she is expecting a baby with Collins.
Ferne McCann has been trolled on Twitter after her boyfriend was arrested by armed police.
Earlier the TOWIE star revealed that she was expecting a baby with Arthur Collins who has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an alleged acid attack in an East London nightclub.
At least 12 people suffered burn injuries caused by a suspected noxious chemical in the Mangle E8 nightclub in Dalston on Monday (17 April) following a brawl. Two victims were left blinded in one eye and required specialist treatment at a burns hospital in Essex.
Collins was the subject of a police manhunt for five days but was found at a Northamptonshire address and taken in for questioning.
His girlfriend, who according to the Sun had told Collins of her pregnancy just before the acid attack, had reportedly urged him to give himself up.
Since the arrest trolls have been targeting the Celebs Go Dating star.
"Your career ruined! Hope the bad boy was worth it," said one commentator.
Another Twitter user wrote: "Stay off TV for a long time now. Not a good image to have."
Others expressed their sympathy:
DI Lee McCullough of Hackney CID said earlier: "This investigation continues to move at great pace and the net is closing in on those we believe to be responsible. My team continues to act on a number of leads to bring in those wanted for questioning in relation to this awful incident.
"Anyone found harbouring those wanted for questioning by police can expect a knock at the door and could well find themselves under arrest. We have 20 people suffering from the effects of an acidic substance being sprayed in a confined space in a busy nightclub.
'"Eleven have burn-related injuries. This incident has caused suffering to a large group of people and left many others needing long-term treatment.
"The noxious substance used has not yet been confirmed but samples retrieved from the scene have been sent for analysis. If you were there and saw anyone involved inside or leaving the nightclub, please get in touch."
Phoenix will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday, Mail Online said.
