POT 1: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Zenit St Petersburg

POT 2: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk, Ajax, Benfica

POT 3: Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Salzburg, Olympiakos, Club Brugge, Valencia, Inter Milan, Dinamo Zagreb

POT 4: Lokomotiv Moscow, Genk, Galatasaray, RB Leipzig, Slavia Prague, Red Star Belgrade, Atalanta, Lille

Pot 1 is led by defending UCL champions, Liverpool. Another English side, Chelsea, further proves the Premier League's dominance last season. They gain a spot in Pot 1 via their UEFA Europa League trophy. EPL champions Manchester City represents a third spot for England. Champions of the other top 6 European domestic leagues also gain spots in Pot 1.

Slots in Pots 2-4 are determined by UEFA's own coefficient system. The coefficient is calculated based on teams' European performance in the last five years. Pot 2 is led by 2016,2017 and 2018 UCL champions, Real Madrid. Last season's runners-up, Tottenham Hotspur, are also in Pot 2. Teams that make regular appearances in the quarterfinals or better, such as Atletico Madrid and Ajax, are also in Pot 2.

Twenty-six teams in the pool have automatically qualified into the draw based on the spot allocations for European member associations. The six teams who qualified via playoffs are: Ajax, Club Brugge, Slavia Prague, Olympiacos, Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb.

In tonight's draw, the teams will be drawn into eight groups. No two teams from the same domestic association may be drawn into the same group. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance into the knockout rounds.

The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com.

Matchday 1 in the group stage will be played on September 17/18. The 2019/20 UEFA Champions League final will be played in Istanbul on May 30.
