Update Xbox One Controller in Few Simple Steps
The firmware update is now available for the Xbox controller making the controller deliver more smooth gaming experience. Also, the update is necessary for those who own an Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter as it helps to work properly.
Gamers who are currently looking out for a method to update their Xbox One controller may follow the guide below, courtesy of WPCentral. The update process is very easy and there is a video demonstrating the process.
Steps to update Xbox One controller
Step-1: Turn on the Xbox One and sign in to Xbox Live. This is to ensure the Xbox One is connected online to access the latest update
Step-2: Plug the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter in to the bottom of the controller and plug in a headset, so the adapter will turn on
Step-3: Connect the bigger end of the USB cable into the port on the side of the console but the other end of the cable should work like the one that comes with the Windows Phone
Step-4: Connect the small end of the USB cable to the top of the controller
Step-5: The update will automatically start. Follow the on-screen instructions, but do not disconnect the USB cable during the process. In case the update does not start, press the menu button, select Settings>> System>> Update controller>> Continue
Step-6: Once the update is completed, unplug the USB cable
The controller should now be having the latest firmware.
