Overview

USA come into this fixture following their 4-0 crushing victory over Costa Rica in their last fixture. They bounced back after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Colombia in the opening match of the 2016 Copa America.

Jurgen Klinsmann's side are second in Group A with three points after two matches, trailing leaders Colombia by three points. However, they are two points ahead of Paraguay and Costa Rica as the latter has a goal difference of -4.

A draw against Paraguay should be sufficient for USA to make it to the quarter-final of the tournament. However, a defeat could see Paraguay make it to the last four of the Copa America and bring an end to the host nation's campaign.
