The Vampire Diaries cancelled after season 6? Fans don't want TVD without Elena and Damon romance
After Nina Dobrev declared that she is quitting The Vampire Diaries after season 6, it became difficult for fans to imagine the CW supernatural show without their favourite couple Damon and Elena's on-again-off-again romance.
Fans were so angry that they even started asking the show creator to cancel the show after the TVD finale.
Shocked fans are currently nursing their broken hearts after Dobrev declared her exit from the show through her Instagram post.
But the big question remains as to how the show creators are planning the exit of the most beloved character of TVD.
Chances are high that the Gilbert daughter will be killed off in the season 6 finale and season 7 may begin with a new romance between the elder Salvatore brother and Bonnie.
Julie Plec has already warned fans to brace themselves for some tearful and epic finale scenes in the current season.
Elena has always remained the heart of the show whether she was dating Stefan or his elder brother.
Till season 5 the super hit CW series talked about their love triangle but after Nina and Ian Somerhalder broke up in real life, things started to change in the series.
Fans were left craving for some steamy moments between the lead cast in the ongoing series.
Their wish will finally be fulfilled in episode 18 where Delena will be seen spending some intimate moments while discussing Lily, Damon's mother.
It remains to be seen, how the creators will carry forward the story minus the central character and how it will affect the viewership of the fan favourite show.
More interesting will be the way the makers portray the exit of Elena in the finale. Meanwhile, Kat Graham (Bonnie) hints at an epic battle in episode 22 of TVD season 6. "Also, there's an epic battle ... there's a cool, epic battle in the season finale," the actress told VH1.
The next episode of TVD titled I Never Could Love Like That will air on 16 April on the CW network.
