Vampire Diaries Season 6 spoilers: Damon to romance Bonnie and dump Elena?

The Vampire Diaries season 6 will premiere again after its winter hiatus and fans can expect some explosive new equations between Damon and Bonnie.

The CW supernatural thriller will return with episode 11 titled, 'Woke Up With A Monster'. Kai has kidnapped Elena in the mid-season finale and soon Damon will learn it and will be forced to rethink his strategies.

The official synopsis of episode 11 reads:

"When Damon (Ian Somerhalder) discovers Elena (Nina Dobrev) has been kidnapped by Kai (Chris Wood), he is forced to rethink his strategy after an unexpected visitor throws a wrench into his plan. After bringing Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) home from the hospital, Caroline travels with Stefan to North Carolina in search of a cure for her mother's cancer. Meanwhile, Stefan, who has his own intentions for traveling to North Carolina, is caught off guard when Enzo (Michael Malarkey) shows up demanding to know what Stefan is hiding."

This doesn't mean that the elder Salvatore vampire will forget his good friend Bonnie, who is still in the time trap and suffering every pain alone.

Fashion and Style suspects, the Bennett witch will finally escape from the time travel prison and get back to Damon, who is in immense guilt of leaving her alone on the other Side with the psychopath Kai.

After Bonnie returns to the present-day Mystic Falls, she will get closer to Elena's boyfriend and their relationship will grow as the handsome vampire would sympathise with her trying ordeal, the website reported.

Damon Salvatore did everything he could to get back to the love of his life, Elena Gilbert, only to learn that she has erased all the romantic memories about him and now remembers the Salvatore brother as Stefan's serial killer brother.

As of now, the Delena relationship appears to be in a limbo and there are good chances that a Bamon romance will bloom in the spell-free Mystic Falls when the show returns on CW networks on 22 January.
