Vampire Diaries season 7: Will Damon save Stefan from huntress Rayna?
The Vampire Diaries season 7 is finally picking up pace after Elena's departure since the beginning of the season. Her lookalike, Rayna Cruz, a vampire huntress has her sharp eyes on Mystic Falls and the supernatural creature rising inside the small town.
Leslie-Anne Huff's character has her links with the Brotherhood of the Five and wields a Phoenix sword as a weapon that she acquired from Damon Salvatore and Bonnie in the previous episode to hunt down the vampires.
In the upcoming episode, Stefan will try to divert Rayna's attention from Mystic Falls and his friends and heads to New Orleans. With the help of Valerie, he will find a safe house where he will meet The Originals' Klaus.
Damon learns that the love of his life Elena is in fact alive and still sleeping and what he saw in episode 13 This Woman's Work, was just an hallucination. He realises that his younger brother has already gone through a lot.
The synopsis of the episode titled Moonlight On The Bayou reads:
In order to lure a vengeful vampire hunter named Rayna Cruz (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) away from his friends in Mystic Falls, Stefan (Paul Wesley) heads to New Orleans, where Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) has learned of a safe house that can protect him. Once there, he comes face to face with Klaus Mikaelson (guest star Joseph Morgan), who soon becomes suspicious of his old friend's unexpected arrival in his city. Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey), who is working on behalf of a mysterious organization called The Armory, approaches Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) with a plan that could protect Stefan from Rayna. Finally, after learning that Alaric (Matt Davis) has decided to leave for Dallas with the twins immediately, Caroline (Candice King) offers to accompany them on the trip and finds herself contemplating her own future in Mystic Falls.
