Victoria and David Beckham Snub Posh Restaurants for Wetherspoon Christmas Dinner
They may have millions in the bank but even Victoria and David Beckham don't think you need to pay over the odds for a lovely family Christmas.
Posh Spice and Gold Balls have reportedly snubbed London's poshest restaurant for a table at purse-friendly Wetherspoon for their festive lunch.
According to the Sun, the power couple and their four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, will be enjoying a slap up meal costing just £7.99 a head after getting an invite from the former footballer's older sister Lynne and her partner Kevin Briggs.
It is thought that the group have a table booked at Wetherspoon pub The Half Moon in Stepney, east London, to get them in the mood for Christmas.
Briggs, is believed to be the behind the budget family dinner.
"Spoons Xmas meal in a few weeks. Let us know if you're in. We'll do a fiver [£5] max secret santa," he said in a text to all of their relatives.
He later added: "Sorry, with inflation we're making it £6."
Although a spokesperson for the Beckhams declined to comment, the super-rich power couple are not the only stars that opt for cheap and cheerful once in a while.
This summer Brad Pit popped into Wimpy a small Essex town for a £6 burger, and X Factor boss Simon Cowell was recently was spotted at Harvester.
