Victoria’s Secret Welcomes New Angel: German Model Toni Garrn
High end luxury lingerie label, Victoria's Secret has presented 19-year old Toni Garrn as the new addition to their Angel list which includes names like Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio.
Last year, the stunning beauty walked her first Victoria's Secret runway show and became a household name overnight.
The Daily Mail reported that Garrn only wore her first pair of wings on the company's famous runway back in November, and next week will be her first outing as the brand's new face when she launches the Dream Angels collection.
With this, Garrn becomes part of an elite group of models that includes names like Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen, Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bündchen, Andriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Karolína Kurková.
At an early age of 14, Garrn was discovered by German model agency Modelwerk during the FIFA World Cup 2006 in her hometown Hamburg, and then signed with New York agency Women Management. She debuted at the Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 2008 runway show in New York as an international exclusive. She then went on to be featured in the designer's ad campaign. The following season, she again walked exclusively for Calvin Klein.
Since then, it was a rollercoaster ride for the model who featured in a number of ad campaigns and fashion shows.
As per reports, Garnn has walked in over 50 shows during her runway debut outside of the exclusive and fronted covers for names like Vogue, Elle and Glamour. Apart from this, she has appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Prada, Versace, Cartier, Jill Stuart, Fendi, Chloé, Emporio Armani, Hugo Boss and Etro.
However, despite all her success and supermodel friends, Miss Garrn has kept a relatively low profile.
Garrn will now join other VS Angels like Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio in London this June where they will open the label's first UK store on New Bond Street.
