Video Emerges of Beyonce's Sister Solange Knowles Attacking Jay Z In Lift After Met Ball

Shocking footage has emerged of Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles attacking Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter' in a lift after the Met Ball.

In CCTV video obtained by TMZ, the brother and sister-in-law can be seen in a violent altercation with Queen B at one point trying to play peacemaker.

At the start of the short clip Solange, who is dressed in a peach gown can be seen entering the lift with the rapper and several bodyguards.

Following what looked to be an exchange of words Knowles, 27, hits the Watch the Throne singer before lashing out with multiple kicks.

Although the rapper does push the singer, he appears to show restraint as a bodyguard sought to calm Solange.

At one point he grabs her foot to block one of several kicks. It is not known what caused the ferocious attack.

Photographs taken as the trio exited the star-studded soiree show an annoyed looking Knowles storming ahead as Jay Z holds on to his cheek.

Beyonce, who is famouly close to her younger sibling, manages to smile for the cameras.

Interestingly the mother-of-one leaves the annual event, which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with Knowles despite arriving with her husband of five years. Jay Z was escorted to another car by a bodyguard.

Neither the Carters or Knowles have commented on the footage.
