Video: Woman in death-defying car plunge off building after driving through parking barrier
A shocking video has been released showing the moment a car plunged from a fourth-storey car park and crashed on to the ground below. The security-camera footage, released by Baltimore Country officials, records the incident that took place on 14 March 2016 in Baltimore, US. In the video shows the street before suddenly parts of the concrete building wall and the vehicle cascade down from below, smashing into the ground and sending smoke and debris into the air.
The driver, 23-year-old Lindsay Taylor Cook, was not seriously injured in the crash despite the Audi Q5 landing on its roof. She was transported to Sinai Hospital for treatment.
According to a police statement, Cook was pulling into a parking space on the fourth floor of a parking garage when her vehicle went forward, crashing through the concrete barrier, and falling on to the pavement below.
The incident is now under investigation.
