The Walking Dead season 6: Actress Melissa McBride teases Carol's character arc and conflicts in Alexandria

The Walking Dead season 6 premiere is just a few days away and we are all waiting to know how things unfold in the Alexandria Safe-Zone post the intense season 5 finale. Actress Melissa McBride, who plays Carol on the hit zombie drama, recently spoke about her character and what fans can expect to see when the show returns with its new season.

"The conflicts that suddenly arose there [Alexandria] at the end of the finale in season 5, we're going to find out how people are relating to their different points of view, and seeing how the loss of Reg affected Deanna and her point of view, and the threat of the walkers. So I think really everyone's point of view is challenged and we're going to see how that all pans out," McBride told Entertainment Weekly.

Teasing her character's arc in season 6, the actress said that the "unaware" Alexandrians will get to see her other side in the upcoming episodes. "When we left off in season 5 the Alexandrians were still unaware of her little undercurrents," Mcbride stated. "So, I think when we get back there's going to be the Alexandrian Carol and then she's still got work to do. So we'll see her other side."

The official synopsis reveals that season 6 starts with Alexandria's safety shattered by multiple threats. To make it, the people of Alexandria will need to catch up with our survivors' hardiness while many of Rick's people will need to take a step back from the violence and pragmatism they've needed to embrace. These reversals won't happen easily, or without conflict.

But now Rick's group is fighting for something more than survival. They're fighting for their home, and they will defend that at any cost, against any threat, even if that threat comes from within. The synopsis for the season 6 premiere episode has also been revealed. The episode is called First Time Again and the plot is described as follows: "Rick and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart?" The Walking Dead season 6 will premiere on 11 October 2015 on AMC with a 90-minute episode.
