The Walking Dead season 6 finale: 'We don't necessarily do what's in the comics,' says Glenn actor Steven Yeun
The Walking Dead season 6 finale is almost here, and so is the potential death of a major character. Fans are eagerly waiting to see who is at the receiving end of Negan's barb-wired baseball bat.
TWD comic book readers will know that Negan brutally kills Glenn, and that's what most fans are expecting from the finale episode of the show as well. But showrunner Scott M Gimple recently weighed in on this rumour and hinted that it could be someone else.
"Let me put it this way: Whatever it is, it's really just all in service to being faithful to the comic book inasmuch as one can," Gimple told Entertainment Weekly. "That's always going to be relatively subjective as to what that means. But taking inspiration from the moments of the comic book and playing them out to the ends of what it can be, it's all just like taking that moment from the book and figuring out a way to turn it up to get those feelings that it gave you and those emotions that it gave you that much more."
As for the possibility of Glenn getting killed in the finale, actor Steven Yeun said: "I know people are going to always go, 'Negan kills Glenn in the comics,' but rest assured that we don't necessarily do what's in the comics."
The 90-minute long season finale episode titled Something To Fear will air on 3 April 2016 on AMC. Check out the synopsis below:
In the aftermath of a tragic blow, Eugene falls captured by Dwight, a member of the Saviors, who are hell bent on getting even with Alexandria, Negan teaches Rick and company a brutal lesson, which shows that Rick and company finally have something to fear.
