The Walking Dead season 6: Glenn's fate confirmed by change in show's opening credits?
Warning: This article contains spoilers for episode 3 of The Walking Dead season 6
Is Glenn really dead? That's the question most fans have been asking since the third episode of The Walking Dead's latest season aired, showing Glenn seemingly being devoured by Walkers. Post the shocking episode, several fan theories started circulating suggesting Glenn might still be alive.
Executive producer David Alpert refused to confirm his death in Variety's post-mortem interview last week, instead coyly commenting:
"We will find out what happened to Glenn... I feel like, regardless of what happened to Glenn, he paid a tremendous price for having been human to Nicholas, and that, to me, from an emotional point of view — whether or not Glenn is alive or dead or something else — the Glenn that we knew, the one that believed in the better side of humanity, I think is dead."
However, If you were paying attention to the opening credits of The Walking Dead this week, you might have noticed a big change, reports Variety. Actor Steven Yeun's (who plays/played Glenn) name is no longer part of the opening titles, the first time he's been absent from the sequence since the pilot. This pretty much confirms that the character is no longer a part of The Walking Dead.
This week's episode, titled "Now," is expected to give some closure to fans who are hoping that their favourite character is still alive. Judging by the promos, it looks like episode 5 will focus heavily on Daryl (Norman Reedus), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) besides revealing the aftermath of the Wolves's attack on Alexandria.
