The Walking Dead season 8: Glenn could return to the show but may be in Maggie's dream
Steven Yeun's character died in TWD season 7 premiere episode.
The Walking Dead season 8 is still months away from its premiere but the show creators and producers have promised multiple twists in almost every episode. One of the interesting twists may feature the return of Steven Yeun as Glenn.
Glenn died in season 7 premiere episode when Negan smashed his head repeatedly with his wire-wrapped baseball bat Lucille. And in the realistic zombie-filled post-apocalyptic series, it is highly unlikely that any character will return in blood and flesh.
But the show creators have already surprised fans by bringing the dead Abraham back in a dream sequence where he spends cosy romantic time with Sasha while guiding her towards the light. Show's executive producer Scott Gimple thinks bringing Glenn back to the show is "certainly possible."
The upcoming season will have plenty of flashback sequences and considering a time jump and Maggie's pregnancy, it is assumed that she will go back to time to revisit the romantic time she spent with the love of her life. She might also dream of Glenn descending on Earth to see her newborn baby. "She might not be that close. Things have been moving pretty quickly, but not a lot of time has passed," he told TV Line.
The seventh season of the AMC horror thriller was widely criticised for being lacklustre but show Gimple has promised an interesting season 8 and in order to do so, there will be a time jump and fans will get to see what happened to their favourite characters during the time gap featuring flashback scenes.
"I will say there are things that happen in that time jump that is referred to that are super interesting. And thus we might see some of that stuff; it might not be the same sort of jump, or we'll do that two to five years in real time," he told Hollywood Reporter.
