Tensions run high as the Adam Foster family returns home after the school lockdown in the upcoming chapter of The Fosters season 4. Episode 2 is titled, Safe, which will air this Monday, 27 June at 8pm EST on Freeform.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

After being given the all clear to head home, tensions are still running high in the Adams Foster household. Fragile and skittish from the school lockdown, the family sticks close, but their secrets keep them apart. Callie and Brandon anxiously wait for their moms to address their behavior in Idyllwild while Stef warns everyone to stay off their phones and computers due to the rumors swirling around their family. Meanwhile, Brandon sneaks out to help Cortney move, leading to a major blowup between him and Stef.

In the premiere episode, Anchor Beach campus was put under lockdown after Nick came to school carrying a gun. The Swat team arrived in the school, while Nick is still at large.

A promo for episode 2 opens with Marina asking Stef, "You don't think he[Nick] will come here, do you? To which she explains that Nick is unstable and that she wants her family to be prepared for anything.

But then we see Nick is hiding in The Foster household, listening to the family conversations, as the tone of the promo turns ominous. Then we see scene of Lena seeing some shadows in their attic, as Brandon finds out that the main door of the house is locked,

The promo warns, "The danger hits home!" as Nick comes inside Callie's room. The promo ends with fleeting scenes of the family members being terrified as Nick tells Mariana, "This is going to hurt me more than it will hurt you."
