Watch Mr Robot episode 9 live online: Elliot confronts his father; actor teases finale

There are just two episodes remaining for USA Network's edgy new drama Mr Robot to conclude. The cyberpunk show's episode 9 airs this Wednesday.

The official synopsis for Mr Robot season 1, episode 9 titled 'eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt' teases that someone from Elliot's past will jeopardise the Evil Corp hack.

Last week's episode delivered a major shocker when it was revealed that Christian Slater's character Mr Robot is actually Elliot's father. The promo video (below) for episode 9 shows Elliot trying to accept the fact that fsociety's leader, who mysteriously walked into his life, is really his dad!

In this week's episode, Elliot will confront Slater's character for some answers. However, it looks like Mr Robot is more focussed on hacking Evil Corp. He asks Elliot to "stick to the plan".

With the show's season 1 finale right around the corner, one question that has been floating around is: What if Elliot is imagining all of this? According to an interview with Vanity Fair, actor Rami Malek addressed the question and said, "That's true. But I don't want people to think, 'What if the whole thing is just in his imagination?' I know we do take some creative liberties but I promise that this is not all for naught."

Mr. Robot season 1, episode 9 airs this Wednesday, 19 August, on USA Network.
