California rapper Snoop Dogg unveiled his new line of cannabis products at a party in Denver, Colorado on Monday night (9 November), his website merryjane.com said. The products will be sold in medical and recreational marijuana dispensaries in Colorado, where the use of cannabis is legal.

"Wherever my musical journey has taken me around the world, it's beautiful to see how chronic leafs are a common source of peace, love and soul that connects us all," Snoop's statement said on the company website. "Leafs by Snoop is my way of sharing the experience I have with the finest quality cannabis one could imagine. Let's medicate, elevate and put it in the air!"

The product line, named Leafs by Snoop, includes marijuana leaves, cannabis concentrates and edibles, all selected by Snoop Dogg. Peanut Butter Gems, Gummies, Drops and Fruit Chews are among the edible products, which are presented in high-end packaging. Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, released his latest album Bush earlier this year.

Country music start Willie Nelson also announced plans to release his own brand of cannabis, too, called Willie's Reserve.
