White House's Second Most Popular Petition: Deport Justin Bieber
A petitionto have pop icon Justin Bieber's green card revoked has drawn more than 261,000 signatures, becoming the second most popular cause in the three-year history of the White House site.
The petition with the maximum number of signatures, however, was a 2012 plea to declare the Westboro Baptist Church a hate group in response to their anti-gay protests at military funerals, according to the Washington Times.
It is now expected that the US government will look into this as according to the policy of the website launched in 2011, any petition that raises 100,000 signatures in 30 days must be taken into consideration by the Obama administration.
"We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked," the petition reads.
"He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society," 24-year-old Robert Skryzynski, of Detroit, who created the petition stated.
Beiber has been tainted by so many scandals of late and people closest to him are said to be quite concerned. They want him to get help as soon as possible. He was recently arrested for racing a yellow Lamborghini and was reportedly found with traces of marijuana and anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his body.
A few weeks back, his house was raided on complaints that he threw eggs at his neighbour.
His manager Scooter Braun also reportedly wants him to get help and go into rehab. However, his mother disagrees.
"Justin is not out of control. He has always been someone who has to do things his way. He will do the right thing and he will come out on top," his mother is quoted as telling her friends.
