Grace Davies has been accused of being a diva on The X Factor ITV

KEY POINTS

  • Rak-su backed by "obsessed" Cheryl.
  • "Diva" Grave Davies racked up 50 million streams with Adele cover.
  • Kevin Davy White brought Nicole Scherzinger to tears.

The X Factor 2017 is almost over with the big finale just around the corner.

Only three contestants have managed to survive the gruelling weeks of auditions, bootcamp, six' chair challenge, judges' house and finally the live shows.

Rak-Su, Grace Davies and Kevin Davy White are the three who will get to compete in the finals live on ITV on Saturday (2 December).

In last Saturday's episode the Cutkelvins and Lloyd Macey were voted off in a double elimination. A day earlier , fan-favourite Matt Linnen had to bow out.

The live finals will air at 7.05pm. The one that scores the lowest audience vote is eliminated, leaving the two finalists to battle it out for the crown on Sunday.

Here's everything you need to know about the three X Factor 2017 finalists:

Rak-Su

RnB band Rak-Su, from Simon Cowell's group category, have shown no signs of slowing down since their rousing performance at the X Factor auditions. A huge section of the reality show's fans have already hailed them as this year's winner.

Watford boys Myles, Ashley, Jamal and Mustafa make up Rak-Su, a name apparently inspired by "tracksuit".

They've caused a storm with all their live performances. Their original track Dimelo reached No 1 on the iTunes chart.

Cheryl, who helped Cowell during the Judges' House round, is already a big fan of the boys:

Myles, who has confessed to fancying her, has been warned by her boyfriend Liam Payne. When the former One Direction singer performed on X Factor he said: "He fancies my missus so I've got to keep an eye on him."

Grace Davies

Grace Davies is a singer-songwriter from the Lancashire village of Langho, near Blackburn. She works as a warehouse assistant.

Davies is the only one to have survived from Sharon Osbourne's girls' team.

The talented singer has performed her originals on the X Factor stage and is no stranger to fame: last year her cover of Adele's Hello went viral on streaming website SoundCloud, racking up over 50 million plays.

Her song Life on Mars reached No 2 on the iTunes chart while the track she performed in the semi-final, Wolves, reached No 5.

The 20-year-old has been one of the most controversial acts on this year's show. She was rumoured to be romantically involved with fellow contestant Linnen.

There were also reports of her receiving a dressing-down from mentor Osbourne over Davies' diva attitude.

The Sun quoted an insider saying: "Grace is undoubtedly a talent and marked herself out as a definite contender early on but it seems to have gone right to her head. Sharon is having none of it and after she heard some of the talk about Grace's behaviour backstage, she pulled her into her dressing room at the studios."

Kevin Davy White

Even before the winners have been decided, Kevin Davy White from Nicole Scherzinger's Overs category is already said to have found a famous fan in Ed Sheeran.

The 29-year-old musician from Paris, who moved to London last year to be with his girlfriend, had also auditioned for The Voice Paris. The judges did not find his rendition of King's Of Leon hit Use Somebody worth turning their chairs for.

The soulful singer-songwriter considers Ray Charles and James Brown his musical inspirations and for his auditions he impressed the judges with his performance of Brown's It's a Man's Man's Man's World.

When White sang the Whitney Houston classic I Will Always Love You, his mentor Nicole Scherzinger was brought to tears.

But for the same performance, Cowell said that it was not White's best performance.

His cover of the Beatles' Come Together reached No 29 on the iTunes chart.

The X Factor final airs this Saturday on ITV at 7.05pm.
