Who is Ben Affleck's new girlfriend? Actor taking new romance 'slow' after Jennifer Garner divorce
Batman actor was spotted with his new lover during a showing of Sam Mendes' play Ferryman.
Jennifer Garner might not be dating again after filing divorce from husband Ben Affleck, but the Batman actor is already moving on with a new girlfriend.
After the 44-year-old DC star was spotted with Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, a new report has emerged suggesting that the rumoured couple is "in the early stages" of their relationship. According to E! News Affleck and Shookus met during the Oscar winner's trip to England and since then they have been spotted together on quite a few occasions.
"It's more than a summer fling," an insider told the gossip site about the new couple. Most recently, the couple is said to have stepped out for a showing of Sam Mendes' play Ferryman, as per reports.
"They are having fun and care for each other. It's early and they are taking it slow," the website source added. As Affleck and Shookus' relationship is understood to be in the nascent stage, the pair has been taking every measure to keep things under wraps.
However, their romantic appearances – like when they enjoyed a date night in Los Angeles – have unfailingly been caught by the paparazzi.
Back in April, Affleck's ex-wife officially filed for divorce following 10 years of marriage. Keeping their separation cordial, the Pearl Harbor actress sought for joint legal and physical custody of their three children –11-year-old Violet, 8-year-old Seraphina and 5-year-old Samuel, per court documents.
"They always planned to divorce despite what people said. If you look at their first statement it says divorce not separate," a source told People magazine at the time adding that the divorce filing was "super amicable".
The magazine source added, "They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids. There was no catalyst, it was just time. Nothing has changed, they are and still will be putting their kids first."
