Who is Emma Watson dating? Harry Potter star spotted on romantic dinner with mystery man

Emma Watson had been enjoying single life following her split from long-term boyfriend, rugby player Matthew Janney, in 2014 but it looks like the star has returned to the dating scene. The English rose, who is best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, has sparked rumours of a new romance after being spotted enjoying a dinner with a mystery man.

The New York Post gossip column Page Six reports that the 25-year-old was seen with a male companion at Italian restaurant Supper in Manhattan."They were laughing and super flirty," a source told the publication.

The insider added: "There were no seats for them at the bar, and when a woman recognised the Harry Potter star she offered up both her seat and her husband's. Emma politely declined and thanked her. They sat down at a communal table, there was no problem sitting with others."

If the actress is enjoying a budding romance, there is a good chance she will want to take things slow. Watson previously described the split from Janney as "horrendous" revealing she needed a special retreat in Canada to deal with the breakdown of their relationship. During her stay at the centre in the Rocky Mountains, she took a vow of week-long silence, which helped her process the split.

"I felt really uncomfortable... even before my relationship ended," she told British Vogue magazine. "I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself.

"The boyfriends or partners I've had have generally made me feel really cherished. They've built me up... I certainly haven't found that with doing all that I do or being all that I am, that I've struggled in my love life. I just think it's very patronising towards men. It undermines them."
