When Cheryl Cole took to social media to announce that she had got married in secret, many fans were not aware that she even had a boyfriend.

But since recovering from the shock, the question on many people's lips has been 'who was the lucky man that restored our favourite Geordie's faith in love?'

According to reports, the X Factor Judge fell head-over-heels in love with Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini pretty quickly and after just three months she said 'I do' at an intimate beach ceremony on the island of Mustique.

Posting a snap of her wedding ring on Instagram, she wrote: "I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.."

And friends of the former Girls Aloud star are convinced this is the 'real deal'.

"Only a handful of people knew. She's never been so happy," a source told the Sun.

"Cheryl's madly in love and had no fear about taking the plunge. She's delighted he's her new husband and wants to have his babies. It's a beautiful thing. She's on Cloud Nine right now."
