‘Wilshere Will Lose His Bet and Szczesny is Going to Lose Face’ Claims Pundit

Robbie Savage has backed Tottenham Hotspur to finish above their north London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League this season.

The former Wales international believes the squad assembled by Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is better equipped to finish above Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side this season.

As if the bragging rights in north London were not enough, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere recently stoked the rivalry with Tottenham Hotspur by offering to donate £3,000 to charity if the Gunners finish below Spurs in the Premier League this season.

In addition to the England midfielder's bold wager, Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny recently claimed finishing below Tottenham was not in the Gunners' "vocabulary".

Although the two prodigiously gifted Arsenal stars have confidently predicted their sustained supremacy above their rival Tottenham, the aforementioned football pundit believes Spurs are better equipped this season.

"Jack Wilshere is going to lose his bet and Wojciech Szczesny is going to lose face when Tottenham finish the season ahead of Arsenal." Savage told the Daily Mirror when discussing the north London Premier League rivalry.

"The Gunners pair say it won't happen and Wilshere has even had a bet on it with some Spurs supporters.

"Arsenal were great in defeat at Manchester City in one of the best games of the season and they'll be even better when the brilliant Wilshere returns from injury. But for me Tottenham have the best midfield in the Premier League, the second-best squad after Manchester City and one of the best managers in Harry Redknapp.

"It will be that deep squad that sees them (Tottenham) through to the end of the season and they will pip Arsenal for the first time since 1995."

Tottenham are currently three points clear of Arsenal and have a game in hand on Arsene Wenger's side.
