Wolves Stand up to the Guns: Arsenal- Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 (PHOTOS)
It might have come as a shock result for the Gunners, but Wolverhampton Wanderers were able to hold them to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night despite being reduced to a 10-man squad in the final minutes.
Gervinho scored the opener just eight minutes into the game. But Steven Fletcher returned the compliment well before half time (38 minutes). He headed in his seventh goal of the season.
The Gunners immediately went into the attack mode but Wolves, on the other hand, were effectively on the defence. The visitors suffered a blow when midfielder Nenad Milijas was sent off on 75 minutes for bringing down Mikel Arteta but still were able to cling on for a valuable draw, frustrating the efforts of Arsene Wenger's boys to climb back to the top four of the League table.
