'WTF is going on': Trump trolled over bizarre 'tween' rant against Kim Jong-un for calling him 'old'
Twitter had a field day with the latest round of name-calling between the two leaders.
US President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday (11 November) to slam North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in a bizarre rant for calling him "old" and the internet had a field day over it. In the latest round of name-calling amid the North Korean nuclear crisis, Trump questioned why the 33-year-old Pyongyang leader would call him "old" when he would "never call him 'short and fat.'"
"Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old', when I would NEVER call him 'short and fat?' Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!" Trump tweeted.
In a stern speech at South Korea's National Assembly last week, Trump warned North Korea: "Do not underestimate us. And do not try us... The weapons you're acquiring are not making you safer, they are putting your regime in grave danger. Every step you take down this dark path increases the peril you face."
The North Korean Foreign Ministry shot back at Trump's fiery rhetoric saying the US should oust the "old lunatic".
"Reckless remarks by an old lunatic like Trump will never scare us or stop our advance," North Korea's state-run media reported. "On the contrary, all this makes us more sure that our choice to promote economic construction at the same time as building up our nuclear force is all the more righteous, and it pushes us to speed up the effort to complete our nuclear force."
The escalating war-of-words come as Trump continues his maiden 12-day tour of the Asian-Pacific region. Trump has been trading insults with Kim over the past few months amid rising tensions over Pyongyang's rapid and defiant advancement of its nuclear programme and missile tests.
Twitter, however, was left confused over Trump's latest ridiculous "tween" attack on Kim with many questioning whether it was actually the president or a parody account. Others denounced Trump over his "childish" tweet saying it sounded more like a comment by an errant teenager rather than a president.
"I swear, I thought I was reading a tweet from a troll account," one Twitter user wrote. Another added: "All that's missing is 'Dear Diary...' at the beginning."
"The NK leader called Trump a 'lunatic old man' seeking to start a nuclear war. 'Old' appears to be what offended Trump most," one user tweeted.
Another shot back: "How the f**k are you in the White House?"
"It's 2017 and Trump is having a 6th grade spat with the dictator of North Korea. Hopefully, Kim Jong-un doesn't take him seriously either."

The fact that the "Commander in Chief" would tweet this on Veteran's Day tells you everything you need to know about his respect for the military - or even the nation.

Okay, at this point I'm convinced Trump's account has been hacked. Even he's not this whacked out. Wait, yes he is.

Why do you want to be Kim Jong-un's friend? Are you literally guilt tripping the leader of North Korea? This is also exactly what a 10 year old child would say after they get insulted by their sibling

Kim Jong-Un: Trump is old and crazy.

Trump: What do you mean, âOld?â
If you call most 70-year-olds âold,â theyâre not offended, because they ARE old. Theyâre proud of how theyâve lived and what theyâve accomplished. Oh, no wonder trump didnât like it...

Donald Trump's tweets are oddly reminiscent of messages I sent to strangers on Xbox Live when I was eleven years old.

Beside the inherent insanity of this tweet, I think we could agree that at 71 years of age, calling Trump "old" is not so much insult as it is fact https://t.co/gFbxzPaDTT
