Darren Young wins Battle Royal for Intercontinental title shot at Battleground

WWE Monday Night Raw that aired live from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan, on 11 July saw some action-packed matches building up to Battleground scheduled for later this month. The event's headlining match was Battle Royal between 18 wrestlers for a shot at the Intercontinental title at Battleground on 24 July.

The match was contested by Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Konnor, Viktor, Apollo Crews, Simon Gotch, Aiden English, Goldust, R-Truth, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Alberto Del Rio, Darren Young, Jack Swagger, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
At the final stages of the match, four wrestlers were left standing: Ziggler, Corbin, Crews and Young. Ziggler was eliminated by Corbin. Next, Corbin and Crews hit the floor for a double elimination. Young was declared the winner and gets a shot at the Intercontinental title at Battleground.

Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick for the win.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass
Before the match between The Club and Enzo and Cass kicked off, AJ Styles tells them they should walk away and that John Cena doesn't care about them. But The Club, and Enzo and Cass say everyone wants Cena's spot. Next, the two sides square off. Style tosses Cass over the barrier for the disqualification making Amore and Cass winners.
Heath Slater vs Titus O'Neil
Titus O'Neil hits Clash of the Titus for the win.
Dana Brooke vs Sasha Banks
Sasha drops Dana into the Banks Statement and makes her tap out.
