WWE: Vince 'The Bunny' McMahon almost happened says Adam Rose
Rose will retire in 2017 and would like to take on either Bull Dempsey or Justin Gabriel in his final fight.
Former WWE star Adam Rose has revealed that Vince McMahon could have played "The Bunny" in the former wrestler's party host gimmick when he was with the entertainment company.
In an interview with WSVN-TV, the South African pro-wrestler – real name Raymond Leppan – said that he wanted long-time friend Justin Gabriel to play the character because Road Dogg and other WWE officials were not sure about who could do it.
When The Exotic Express suggested Gabriel for the part, "...they said well no one really knows him anymore and they won't get the reaction they want".
"Then there was a suggestion that Vince McMahon do it and I was like 'What's the payoff? I don't get it.' They were like, 'We don't know where to go, so why not have a crazy billionaire do it'?" Rose said.
Speaking about his career, 37-year-old Rose said that he will be retiring in 2017 as he has other business interests outside pro-wrestling that he intends to pursue. However, before he hangs up his boots, Rose wants to fight either Bull Dempsey or his friend Gabriel in his last outing in the ring.
Further, he also praised Braun Strowman for being the nicest person in the world. Rose said if Strowman sings a country song people will fall in love with him.
Rose has been fighting in the independent circuit since he was let go by the federation in 2016 after allegations of domestic violence surfaced against him. Before he made his main roster debut in 2014, Rose was with the company's developmental programme.
