X Factor 2014: Spice Girls to Reunite at Judges' Houses Minus Victoria Beckham
The last time they performed together was at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, but it looks like another Spice Girls reunion is on the cards - albeit without Victoria Beckham.
According to The Mirror, new X Factor judge Mel B wants her former bandmates to help her select her three finalists for this year's live shows.
"All the Spice Girls have been approached to join Mel, as she thinks it would be great to have a reunion on the show," a source told newspaper.
While fans could soon see Emma Bunton, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Mel working together again, Victoria Beckham has reportedly decided that she is too Posh for the show.
The singer-turned fashion designer has hinted on multiple occasions that she is keen to leave her pop star days behind her to focus on building her fashion empire.
In recent years, rumours of rifts between the girls have begun to resurface, with claims that Mel B and Beckham's ongoing feud is at the root of all the tension.
Beckham appeared to give her former bandmates the cold shoulder at the opening night of Viva Forever!, a musical based on the Spice Girls hit songs, back in 2012.
While the other ladies sat together to enjoy the show, the mother-of-four arrived with her family and did not attend the after-party.
"Mel B and Victoria haven't got on for years," a behind the scenes source revealed to The Mirror. "They were part of the reason the reunion tour ended early."
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that this year's X Factor contestants will be jetting off to exotic locations such as the South of France and Bermuda for the judges house stage of the competition. Mel will be taking her chosen group to Cancun, Mexico.
"Mel is realistic that it's a long way to travel and the other girls have commitments" a source told the newspaper. "Victoria has already indicated she won't be able to do it but Mel hopes at least one of the others will help her out."
