X-Men Apocalypse premiere: Jennifer Lawrence almost stumbles on red carpet in cut-out gown
Jennifer Lawrence had a narrow escape on the red carpet at the X-Men Apocalypse premiere in London after she almost lost her footing while making an entrance. Lawrence is no stranger to taking a fall at a glamourous ceremony. The Hunger Games star, who had earlier tumbled in her floor-length gown while receiving her best actress award at the Oscars, successfully regained her composure at the X-Men premiere to continue interacting with fans.
The 25-year-old was donning a silver gown on the red carpet that aptly sat on her person to show off her amazing physique. The actress, who will reprise her role as Mystique in the film, has been seen pulling off some major action in previous instalments of the franchise. However, on the red carpet she appeared demure as she efficiently – minus one near fall – sported her cut-out Dior frock with matching silver stilettos, almost towering over her co-stars McAvoy and Isaac.
At the London global fan screeningof the movie, the actress could not stop gushing about the city. "I love London, I lived here when I was doing first Class and while I was dating Nick. I really do love it," she said. Although she sported a chunky diamond on her ring finger, it seemed to be merely a style statement.
Lawrence also noted why being cast in an ensemble movie is a relief for the star, "I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it's not on anyone's shoulders."
X-Men Apocalypse is a reboot of the 2014 hit X-Men: Days Of The Future Past. "The stakes are higher than they've ever been. The writing - the quality of these movies is just so amazing. Every time we have a script it's just amazing writing," Lawrence said while speaking about her role in the ninth film of the X-Men franchise.
