Xbox beta app for Windows 10 available for download from the Store
Microsoft has released an Xbox beta app for Windows 10 that is now available for download from the Windows Store. Installing this app will provide you a preview of the updates before they are available to the public. You can give early input on the features and enhancements that are coming to the final version of Xbox app.
The app lets you stay connected to the Xbox Live community, allowing you to see what other gamers are playing, share your game clips, send messages, find new friends and more across Windows 10 devices. You can stream games from Xbox One to Windows 10 PC via Xbox One controller too. Additionally, you can party chat with other gamers and join them in games such as Fable Legend and Gigantic.

Along with the roll-out of the beta app, Microsoft has shared details about the updates in the September release of the Xbox app on Windows 10. These include a real-time friends list which will be automatically refreshed with their online as well as offline status and the games they are playing, information about the game and whether it can be joined via multiplayer or, party.
You will no longer need to press the refresh option to see the Activity Feed items. Just keep the Xbox app open and Activity Feed will notify the new items. The achievement section of your profile now offers you a side-by-side comparison of your friends' progress on a specific game you recently played, along with gamescore and achievements. The update includes the most requested feature to the app - the ability to use the Xbox app for text input compatible with Windows devices such as keyboard and touch keypads.
