Xiaomi Redmi Note 2: GearBest accepting pre-orders for delivery in UK, US and India
Xiaomi loyalists can now pre-order the Redmi Note 2 from third party e-tailer GearBest, without having to register to participate in online flash sales. Prospective buyers can get the handset shipped for free.
Previously, the Redmi Note 2 was available only via online flash sales in China and buyers had to register themselves in advance to order the device. However, as the smartphone has received a tremendous response, GearBest is accepting pre-orders from buyers across the globe.
Prospective buyers can reserve the 16GB variant of the Redmi Note 2 for $168.85 (£110). Both the Black and White colour variants of the handset are currently available with the third-party e-tailer.
GearBest has also claimed that the global unlocked edition of Redmi Note 2 will be shipped for free to customers in a select few countries, in three to five business days. However, the network compatibility of the smartphone depends on local wireless service providers, which varies based on geography.
Though GearBest is not an official channel partner of Xiaomi, potential buyers of the Redmi Note 2 in the UK, US and India can pre-order the smartphone as it is unclear when the devices would be available in these countries. Customers are also advised to exercise caution and cross check the payment mechanism before placing orders on GearBest.
