Is Zac Efron single again? Reason behind Baywatch star's split with girlfriend Sami Miro revealed

Baywatch actor Zac Efron, who was in a relationship with model Sami Miro, has reportedly broken up after some big-banner Hollywood projects landed in his kitty. Efron had been dating Miro since fall 2014 and the two were even spotted together at the MTV movie awards in early April. It apparently turns out, despite all the gushing about their bond, it was Efron who pulled the plug on the relationship.

A source told E! that it wasn't an easy breakup and that the pair still care for each other. "Distance and work schedules got in the way with their relationship and Zac wanted to focus on his career," a source claimed. Baywatch, which is slated for a 2017 release, is surely keeping Zac on his toes as the actor has been busy on the sets of the 1990s popular.

If rumours are to be believed, he was coming home on weekends to spend time with Miro, who has been keeping herself engaged at the Coachella music festival. The model even posted a picture of hers on Friday captioned: "Where are you my love." Earlier in the year, when Zac appeared on the popular show with Ellen DeGeneres he couldn't stop gushing about ex-girlfriend Sami Miro, "We do a lot of adventurous stuff together. When I am not working we hit the road," the actor said.

Perhaps, landing some major Hollywood films didn't prove lucky for his relationship.

According to a report in Hollywood Life, Zac chose his career over his relationship. "He always has wanted to be the next Leo DiCaprio and he hopes now that he has the box office behind him that producers and directors will start giving him more chances other than the lame romantic comedies he gets pitched every five minutes."
