Zoolander 2: 'Really ridiculously good looking people' strike a pose at London premiere
The Zoolander 2 premiere saw lots of "really, really, ridiculously good looking people" strutting their stuff on the blue carpet for a fashion face-off, in London's Leicester Square this evening (4 February). The movie sequel, which stars Ben Stiller as Derek Zoolander and Owen Wilson as his nemesis Hansel McDonald, famously pokes fun at the modelling world.
And while the movie's stars were taking centre stage, the real queens of the catwalk couldn't resist striking a pose and stealing their thunder.
Models Lara Stone and Neelam Gill sparkled in silver dresses. The statuesque beauties showed the film's stars how it's really done as they expertly posed for the camera. It was the second outing this week for Burberry star Neelam, who made an appearance at the British Asian Awards on Tuesday. The model of the moment who was briefly linked to Zayn Malik in 2015, looked stunning in a floor-skimming metallic dress.
British beauty Jourdan Dunn also made a show-stopping appearance for the London premiere of the movie set in the world of high fashion. She dazzled in a shimmering Ralph & Russo outfit with a flattering feathered bodice.
Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model judge Paul Sculfor was the envy of everyone as he arrived with not one, but eight dates for the movie, as he was accompanied by the contestants from the current series of the reality show
While all eyes were on the models, Penelope Cruz brought some movie star glamour to the proceedings, wearing a metallic floor-length gown with a thigh-high split. The 41-year-old was joined by co-stars Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Christine Taylor, Kristen Wiig and Owen Wilson.
Cruz is a new addition to the cast as Valentina Valencia, an Interpol special agent with a penchant for riding motorcycles. The sequel also sees Will Ferrell back as Jacobim Mugatu and Ben's wife, Christine Taylor play journalist Matilda Jeffries.
Also attending was Justin Theroux, who has co-written the screenplay with Stiller, who directed and produced the sequel to the hit 2001 movie. The follow-up film features cameos from Cara Delevingne and Justin Bieber.
While Mylene Klass managed to get a cheeky selfie with Penelope Cruz, Ben Stiller took it one step further. The actor gathered his co-stars and the celebrity guests for a group selfie as he attempted to break the record for the world's longest selfie stick photo.
He posted on Twitter: "This was much more dangerous than it looks." Others celebrities in attendance included TV cook Gizzi Erskine, TV presenter AJ Odudu, models Matilda Lowther, Portia Freeman and Caroline Winberg and former Pussycat Doll bandmates Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts.
The UK premiere comes after the cast have already made appearances at screenings in Paris, Madrid, Rome, Berlin and Sydney over the past two weeks. Zoolander 2 is set to be released in cinemas on 11 February.
