Zlatan Ibrahimovic criticises Chelsea 'babies' over controversial sending off in PSG win
Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has criticised the Chelsea players who acted like "11 babies" during his controversial sending off in PSG's 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge last night (11 March).
The 33-year-old Sweden international was shown a straight red card for a lunging tackle on Brazilian play-maker Oscar in the 31st minute. Nine of the 11 Chelsea team subsequently surrounded Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers and Ibrahimovic in his post-match press conference expressed his dismay at such a reaction from the Blues.
"I don't know if I have to get angry or start to laugh but for me when I saw the red card I was like the guy doesn't know what he's doing, or maybe he saw something else," he said.
"But that is not the worst. The worst is when I see when I get the red card all the Chelsea players come around. That for me, I don't know, it felt like I had 11 babies around me," he added.
Despite Ibrahimovic's red card in the 31st minute, PSG managed to twice come from behind to draw the match 2-2 and progress at Chelsea's expense to the Champions League quarter finals on the away goals rule.
