Adele new album: Singer dismisses Simon Konecki link to 25
British singer Adele is reportedly worried that people will presume her new single Hello is about her bond with her partner Simon Konecki. There were multiple reports that the couple's relationship was on the rocks.
In 2014, there was speculation that the 27-year-old singer and the businessman had parted ways. A source told Closer magazine: "Adele wants to draw a line under the past. She doesn't want people to think she and Simon aren't happy. She's in a great place, but she says drawing on painful memories from her past inspires her song writing."
"Adele's told friends they've had a few bumps," the insider added. "She fell pregnant with Angelo less than a year into their relationship, but she's said family life bonded them. She's a perfectionist with her music and built a studio in her Brighton home. She's also recorded in the US, but doesn't like to be away from Angelo. She says Simon is amazing."
Meanwhile, during an interview with i-D magazine, Adele revealed her single was not about heartbreak. Adele's upcoming album 25 is due in stores on November 20.
She said: "Oh, God no. That's over and done with, thank f**k. That's been over and done with for f*****g years. No, it's not about anyone specifically. It's about friends, ex-boyfriends, it's about myself, it's about my family. It's also about my fans as well. I feel like everyone thinks I'm so far away and I'm not."
