"The Advocate", an American LGBT magazine, celebrated its 45th anniversary on 29 March, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Various celebrities attended the event and supported the magazine's work, especially their scholarships for LGBT students.
Macy Gray, a gay men's chorus of Los Angeles and Advocate heroes such as Dustin Lance Black, Robin Tyler and Rev. Troy Perry, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Betty DeGeneres, Cloris Leachman, Max Greenfield, David Burtka, Renee Olstead, George Kotsiopoulos, Perez Hilton, Traci Lords and West Hollywood Mayor John Duran were few of the celebrities who graced the occasion.
Established in 1967, "The Advocate" is one of the oldest LGBT publications in the United States.
