The marriage of one of Bollywood's most glamorous faces to one of the industry's most respected and influential families has, so far, been a blissful one.
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan tied the proverbial knot on 20 April, 2007, in a lavish ceremony befitting their statuses as two of the most high-profile celebrities and entertainers in not only their own countries but also the world. The wedding was attended by A-list stars from the industry, as well as other celebrities from across entertainment, sports and business.
Today, five years on, the happy couple are not only still going strong but are also the proud parents of a baby girl - named Aaradhya - who was born on 16 November. Aaradhya Bachchan has, despite her age, become quite popular as "Beti B"... so nicknamed after similar tags were bestowed on her father - "AB Baby" - and grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, - "Big B".
The couple has a huge fan-following across the world and since the wedding, Aishwarya has become a regular at prominent international events like the Cannes Film Festival, where she walked the fest's red carpet along with her husband on more than one occasion. In fact, Aishwarya even has her likeness enshrined in Madame Tussauds Museum.
In addition, the couple, along with other leading actors, staged a world tour in 2008, called "Unforgettable". The 40 day concert series, led by veteran Amitabh Bachchan, showcased the country's vibrant film industry to audiences overseas and also promoted the cause of fighting global warming.
While Bollywood's most glamorous couple celebrates five wonderful years of wedded bliss, here is a look back at some of their best moments together...
