It is 60 years since Dr Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, died.
Einstein was a genius. His theories in physics helped bring about the dawn of a new age of scientific discovery and understanding.
He died on 18 April 1955, aged 76, leaving behind a legacy that included his most famous theory, the general theory of relativity, that spawned the ubiquitous formula E=MC².
Born to Jewish parents in Ulm, Germany, in 1879, Einstein would die in Princeton, America, after fleeing Nazi Germany in 1933.
