Alexander Skarsgård and Alexa Chung to get engaged soon?

TV presenter/model Alexa Chung and Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård are getting serious about their relationship. The 31-year-old British national and the 38-year-old actor, well known for his role as vampire Eric Northman on the HBO series True Blood, are reportedly planning to get engaged.

According to Grazia magazine, the two recently shortlisted a luxurious stately home in England as their wedding destination. A source said, as quoted by the Belfast Telegraph: "Alexa has told friends that this would be her dream wedding location – and now they are saying that they wouldn't be surprised if an engagement was on the way."

"Alexa's relationship with Alex is going great," the insider added. "That's why she was happy for him to meet her family – she would only ever introduce someone she was serious about to them. Alex seemed to get on well with Alexa's dad Philip."

The pair also spent quality time in Miami during the New Year, along with friends including Rita Ora and British radio presenter Nick Grimshaw. The source said: "Alex and Alexa looked really happy handing out on the beach – her friends kept commenting on how great they looked as a couple and how totally into each other they were. It seems as if Alex and Alexa really could go the distance."

Skarsgård previously dated actress Kate Bosworth from 2009-2011. Chung was romantically involved with Arctic Monkeys' frontman Alex Turner for four years, before splitting in 2011.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Refinery29, Skarsgård revealed how he handles the relationship rumours regarding himself. He said: "Well, I ignore it. I don't buy those magazines, and I don't read those sites. I realize that that's the reality. If I go to a hockey game with Ellen — who is a super dear friend of mine who I really bonded with while filming The East — I understand that if we hang out or get coffee, there might be rumors that we're dating or whatever. But, I don't care. I'm not going to not see my friends because of that. I'm not going to let rumors dictate what I do or how I lead my life."
