Owners of Nexus device (barring the Nexus 6) are in for a special treat, as Google has rolled out the long-awaited Android 5.1.1 factory images for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 3G and Nexus 9 LTE, following its recent release of OTA update for the same Lollipop iteration on a bunch of these devices.
Those who are eagerly looking for bug-fixes for a mounting set of nagging problems on the early builds of Lollipop can go ahead and flash the device-specific factory image, using the direct download links given below.
Besides, those who inadvertently bricked their device while flashing custom ROMs or rooting their device, are required to flash the factory image to fix the issue as OTA updates will not work on custom kernels or modified kernels.
Those who cannot wait for the official OTA release in their country or region, and those who want to restore their device back to factory settings can head over to Google Nexus developer page to download the latest factory images.
