Angelina Jolie blocks Brad Pitt's phone number after filing for divorce – report
Pitt has reportedly contacted Jolie's father Jon Voight to help the former couple rebuild their relationship.
Angelina Jolie has reportedly blocked Brad Pitt's phone number to avoid any incoming calls or text messages from the Allied actor. The Maleficent actress has allegedly chosen to ignore her estranged husband after she filed for divorce on 19 September, citing irreconcilable differences.
"Angelina has blocked all incoming text messages and also Brad's numbers," an insider told Us Weekly.
This comes amid reports that the 52-year-old actor has contacted Jolie's father Jon Voight to help the two rebuild their relationship.
"Brad [Pitt] has made an effort to make contact and is keen to try and improve the situation between them," an insider told the Daily Mirror. "He's hoping his good relationship with Angelina [Jolie]'s family will help to build bridges. He's spoken to her dad Jon [Voight] and hopes he may be able to play peacemaker. It's a very tricky time for the family but Brad hasn't given up hope yet."
Previously, reports had claimed that the Fight Club actor was "completely devastated" following the split.
"He is beside himself and has been crying. He was completely caught off guard and blindsided and had no idea she would do this. Angelina filed the court papers a minute before the courts closed on Monday night. He didn't have a lawyer or anything," source previously told Us Weekly.
"She had threatened divorce in the past but he did not think she would file this time. He is completely devastated and beside himself. He is a shattered man. He's extremely upset. But he is totally focused on just being helpful and making sure his kids are doing as well as possible," the source added.
Jolie and Pitt married in August 2014 after meeting on the sets of their 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith. The couple share six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
