Ant and Dec earning £23,000 a day with ITV: Golden pair took home £8.4m in 2014
In 2014, it seemed as if Ant and Dec were constantly on our televisions – and it appears as if the exposure has paid off for the pair.
It has been reported that the well-known duo earned £8.4m ($13m) between them just last year, which equates to £23,000 a day according to the most recent accounts filed by their firms Teecourt, Deecourt and Hurley Promotions.
"It's little surprise they are raking it in given they are fronting three of the biggest and most popular shows on TV, with huge ratings to boot," a source told The Mirror.
Ant and Dec host Saturday Night Takeaway, Britain's Got Talent and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The shows attract huge ratings, with Takeaway getting around 6.1 million this year and the latter two reaching over 10 million viewers each in their final episodes.
The 39-year-olds signed a contract with ITV in 2013, which saw them extend their exclusivity with the network for at least three more years, meaning that they are guaranteed to present on the channel until 2016. The insider at the newspaper stated that "for the big cheeses at the top of ITV, they are worth every penny".
The Newcastle-born friends have come a long way since their modest days starring in teen-drama Byker Grove as characters PJ and Duncan when they were just 15.
After a few years on the show, the duo went on to have a brief but memorable dabble in the music world, before officially paving their careers as a presenting double-act, with the children's Saturday morning shows SM:TV Live and CD:UK.
Since then, they have hosted many prime time shows on ITV including Friends Like These, Pop Idol and Red Or Black? alongside the trio of hugely successful programmes they host today.
Just last year, they won two television Bafta awards, both in association with Saturday Night Takeaway, for best entertainment programme and best entertainment performers.
Today, both Declan 'Dec' Donnelly and Anthony 'Ant' McPartlin are said to be worth around £62m.
