Apple releases public beta 2 for iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan
Apple has rolled out the second beta (beta 2) iteration of iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan, within 24 hours of releasing the fourth beta for iOS 9 to developers and exactly two weeks after releasing the first public beta.
iOS 9 users who are already using beta 1 are eligible to upgrade to beta 2 via the web portal or over-the-air (OTA) update, using Apple's public beta testing program, reports iDownloadBlog.
The second public beta for iOS 9 (build 13A4305g) is reportedly identical to the recently released beta 4 developer version, which introduced a few interesting features such as Home Sharing for music and a new Handoff interface.
In related news, the second public beta for OS X El Capitan is available for download via Mac App Store for all those who are currently running public beta 1 on their Macs.
Both the iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan final releases are expected to launch in fall or sometime in mid-September.
