Arrow season 4: Ray Palmer returns in episode 6; producer teases Arrow-Flash crossover episode scene
Ray Palmer aka The Atom returns in this week's episode of Arrow season 4. And yes, this will cause some tension between Oliver and Felicity.
In the Arrow season 3 finale, Ray was seemingly killed in a huge explosion. However, in the upcoming episode 6 of season 4, Felicity Smoak will discover that her ex-boyfriend actually survived the explosion. The promo also reveals that Ray has been shrunk dramatically and is being held as a prisoner by Damien Darhk.
The official synopsis for this week's episode titled Lost Souls reads: Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is frantic when she learns that Ray (guest star Brandon Routh) is alive and being held by Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Felicity's guilt over not finding Ray sooner causes tension between her and Oliver (Stephen Amell).
Meanwhile, Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) joins Laurel (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willa Holland) and the team on a rescue mission for Ray. However, the effects of the Lazarus Pit take over and threaten to jeopardize the entire operation. Donna Smoak (guest star Charlotte Ross) returns to Star City.

Meanwhile, Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim teased a scene (below) from the forthcoming Arrow-Flash crossover episode and it looks super exciting! The two-episode event will introduce characters who will eventually populate DC's Legends Of Tomorrow, launching in January on The CW, and will air in three weeks, following a one-week hiatus for Thanksgiving in the US.
The episode is expected to pit Green Arrow, The Flash and their allies against Vandal Savage - the immortal caveman who will ultimately become the primary villain in Legends Of Tomorrow. (via ComicBook)
