The Dictator star Sacha Baron Cohen stunned the Oscar red carpet crowd by dumping an urn full of "Kim Jong Il's ashes" on presenter Ryan Seacrest

Event organisers had originally planned to ban Baron Cohen, famed for his publicity stunts, from the event, but bowed to public pressure.

They may have regretted their decision when Seacrest interviewed Baron Cohen, in character as The Dictator and flanked by female bodyguards, on the red carpet and ended up "wearing Kim Jong Il."
