Beyonce: Blue Ivy Carter Arrived Naturally

Baby Blue Ivy Carter's birth was a natural one, her celebrity mother has insisted.

Beyonce has clarified that she gave birth the natural way and did not have to go for a C-section. A joint statement released by Beyonce and Jay-Z noted that Blue arrived naturally, weighing 7 lbs.

The statement posted on Beyonce's official website read: "Hello Hello Baby Blue! We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

"Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

'It was the best experience of both of our lives," the statement added.
