Beyonce reveals showstopping look at Wearable Art Gala
Pregnant singer skips the red carpet but shares photo on her website.
Pregnant singer Beyonce made a dramatic style statement at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday ( 29 April) alongside husband Jay Z.
The Halo star, who is pregnant with twins, skipped the red carpet at the California African-American Museum but did share a photo of her outfit on her website Beyonce.com.
Looking every inch the Queen Bey, her hair was adorned with an elaborate crown made of flowers, imitation butterflies and a diamond dragonfly.
Her expanding baby bump was on display in a skin-tight red gown with plunging neckline and ruched detail as she posed.
The evening turned into a Destiny's Child reunion as former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also attended.
They posed on the carpet where they were joined by Beyonce's mum, Tina Knowles, who donned a green leaf-inspired gown.
Rowland, 36, turned heads in a heavily ruffled white chiffon gown while Williams, also 36, rocked up in a plunging patterned silver dress.
While Beyonce kept a low profile eagle-eyed fans managed to sneak a picture of her laughing out loud with husband Jay Z.
In January, the 35-year-old announced her pregnancy with a photo on social media. The image broke the internet and made history by becoming the most viewed picture on Instagram.
In a caption she wrote: "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters."
Beyonce, 35, and Jay Z, 47, are the parents of Blue Ivy, who was born in 2012.
